The announcements will see Jetstar become the only airline to operate direct services on both routes.

In addition to the new city pairs, Jetstar has also announced it is increasing its Sydney-Ayers Rock services to daily from June 28 and adding a second daily Brisbane-Townsville flight from April 14. However, the airline says that it will also reduce from four times daily to twice daily its Mackay-Brisbane schedule.

@Kieran – do you mean Alice Springs?

More directs from Gold Coast is great news because no one likes the drive to/from Bris Ap.

it would be great if Jetstar continued on to Broome from either Ayers Rock or Alice Springs. Airfares have become very expensive to and from Broome. Tourism in the Kimberley needs affordable air connections.
