Bell has unveiled a full-scale mock-up of its new 505 Jet Ranger X at the Heli-Expo 2014 in Los Angeles.
Previously known as the Short Light Single (SLS), the 505 will be feature a Turbomeca Arrius 2R engine with dual FADEC providing 376kW at takeoff, a high inertia rotor system, and the Garmin G1000H avionics suite.

Not only is the Bell 505 competitively priced, it offers a combination of features, capabilities and support customers have come to expect from Bell Helicopter.”
The five-seat 505 is due to make its first flight later this year, and will be marketed towards the utility segment, corporate and private owners, and training schools.
