Boeing has awarded Melbourne based Production Parts a contract to supply rudder pedal kits for F/A-18E/F Super Hornets production.
The one-year contract gives Production Parts options on future contracts Boeing may receive from the US Navy and international customers for the Super Hornet. The aircraft is currently in contention for sales to Denmark, Brazil, Greece and India, and a follow-on multi-year procurement (MYP) contract is under consideration for the US Navy.

“This contract not only demonstrates the global competitiveness of Australian companies, but also is a testament to the success of the Australian government’s Office of Australian Industry Capability program,” said Peter Nicholls, managing director of Production Parts. “This program has enabled Production Parts to bid and win work with one of the world’s largest defence primes, and we look forward to a long term relationship and further opportunities with The Boeing Company.”
Production Parts also has contracts for components for the System Design and Demonstration phase of the F-35 JSF program.
