E-190 gains approval for LCY operations

Embraer has announced that the E-190 has received certification from EASA for steep approaches, allowing the aircraft to operate from London City Airport.

The E-190 joins the E-170 in gaining clearance for LCY operations, with British Airways CityFlyer operating them from the airport. BA, Lufthansa and Geneva based Baboo Airlines are all expected to commence flights from LCY with E-190s.
