Aviation Australia gains new approvals

written by australianaviation.com.au | February 22, 2010

Aviation Australia has gained approval from CASA which will allow students undertaking some of its training programs an alternative to passing CASA exams, as well as a Dash 8 avionics type training approval.

The specialist college has now gained approval for students to undertake its ‘Aviation Legislation (Module 10)’ as an alternative to CASA’s basic licensing subject Airworthiness Administration (AA). “This subject and examination provides a modern alternative to AA and includes additional recent and emerging legislation,” said CEO Paul Bredereck.

“The program may also be delivered for organisations at a nominated site, subject to approval, if this better suits the client’s needs.”

The company also noted that it has also gained similar approval to deliver a range of composite programs as an alternative to the CASA subject Composites (FP), as well as the Dash 8-100/200/300 avionics course.

“All of these approvals provide flexibility for the Australian aircraft maintenance industry in developing and sustaining a qualified future workforce,” added Bredereck.
