Rex Townsville-Mackay flights take off

Regional Express (Rex) launched its new Townsville to Mackay services in northern Queensland on October 1.

“It is very gratifying to see Rex taking to the skies of Northern Queensland and bringing the benefits of lower fares and increased flight frequency to the people of Townsville and Mackay,” said Rex managing director Jim Davis. “Our competitor’s reaction in dropping its fares by around 35 per cent only too clearly illustrates that north Queensland has been missing out and we hope that Rex receives the local support it needs to sustain these benefits to the cities of Townsville and Mackay.”
