A160 Hummingbird VUAV flies with new radar

Boeing’s A160 Hummingbird vertical takeoff UAV has successfully demonstrated a series of flights with a foliage penetrating radar called FORESTER.

The radar flew for 53 hours aboard the A160 and demonstrated its ability to see through foliage that may be masking troops or vehicles as part of a DARPA sponsored development program for the US Army.
