British Airways will launch its first onboard mobile phone service, on its premium London City-New York JFK flights from September 29. This will allow passengers to use their mobile phones to send and receive text messages, emails and access the internet. BA is using SITA/Airbus’s OnAir picocell on board the A318s which operate the services.
